BIN: There Is No Evidence Bird Flu Bioterrorism Through

"We continue to follow these developments, the deepening of the relevant ministries but we continue to follow. Till now, there is no indication that it was heading bioterrorism."

Head of the State Intelligence Agency (BIN) Lt. Gen. Marciano Norman said that the evidence of bioterrorism-related outbreak of the bird flu virus H5N1 clade 2.3.2 new type, has not been found.

"We continue to follow these developments, the deepening of the relevant ministries but we continue to follow. Till now, there is no indication that it was heading bioterrorism," he told reporters on Thursday (10/1).

So far, he said, the government did not want to draw conclusions. However, NIA continues to coordinate with relevant ministries such as the Ministry of Agriculture.

"I ask ministries to deepening, because they have really in depth. We have real confidence," he said.

According to Marciano, developments in the global spread of the virus is growing rapidly. It could even lead to war in the future.

"Later that wars of the future would have been like that. If Indonesia does not lead to it," he said.

Earlier, Secretary of the National Commission for Control of Zoonoses, Emil Agustiono, suspecting a new type of bird flu virus, H5N1 clade 2.3.2, deliberately distributed to Indonesia as part of bioterrorism.
