Three people have died after suffering from viral fever that broke out since the first week of August in Chitwan district as desperate efforts of authorities to contain the epidemic has so far failed.
The victims have not been identified, but two people died of viral fever at the Bharatpur Hospital and another person at the Bharatpur Medical College, reports quoted doctors at these hospitals as saying.
According to the District Public Health Office, Chitwan, it has become difficult to confirm the death toll from viral fever in the district as hospitals have not revealed the number of deaths due to viral fever for the Nepali calendar month of Shaun.
Six persons have already died in Dailekh due to viral fever and more than 200 people have fallen ill due the disease in the past one week.
