Haut-Uele: District Commissioner calls for more awareness of the Ebola



The district commissioner of Haut-Uele, Orientale Province, invited opinion leaders and territorial authorities within its jurisdiction to raise awareness of Ebola haemorrhagic fever.
During a press conference Friday, Sept. 14 Isiro, Dieudonné Rwabona Mugabe said that four new positive cases were detected during the week.
Meanwhile, the district authority has denounced the fact that some relatives of patients refuse testing and isolation.
He also invited the public to discourage speech to minimize the danger of this incurable disease. 
According to the Oms, until Friday, September 14, 72 cases of Ebola, with 31 deaths were recorded in the DRC.
Of those infected, 23 are health workers, 5 died and 165 people were considered subjects who contacted the patients and are kept under epidemiological surveillance.
