Celaya. - Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development of Guanajuato, Javier Usabiaga Arroyo, and the office responsible for the delegation of SAGARPA, Silverio Rojas Villegas, confirmed an outbreak of H7N3 influenza affects five farms Bachoco Industries located in Dolores Hidalgo .
At a press conference, the state official said that 486,000 birds are infected with the virus and that will be sacrificed.
Usabiaga Arroyo said steps have been taken to prevent the outbreak from spreading in Guanajuato territory.

"This outbreak does not affect the production of meat or eggs, because infected animals are fattened for meat production and their number is not so significant," said Arroyo Usabiaga.
