Avian influenza has left 3.8 million birds culled

Guadalajara. - The avian influenza contingency affecting the highlands of Jalisco and left 3.8 million dead or culled birds, said in a statement the National Health Service, Food Safety and Food Quality (SENASICA).

This represents an increase of 1.3 million birds killed in the last six days, as the same agency announced July 10 that to date the figure was 2.5 million casualties on farms and Acatic Tepatitlán.
The last cut dependence indicates that as a result of the implementation of the National Emergency Animal Health (DINESA), 253 farms were reviewed of which 82 did not register the presence of viruses in 33 confirmed and the rest are in diagnostic process.

"With respect to farms that have detected the avian influenza virus H7N3, remain under precautionary quarantine and isolation, the same way, maintaining control of the mobilization to prevent live birds, poultry offal and be transferred to regions free virus, "the SENASICA in the statement.
