Confirmed outbreak of bird flu in Jalisco

CITY-After confirmation of the presence of avian influenza type H7N3 in three
poultry farms and municipalities Tepatitlán Acatic in Jalisco, the leading egg
producer nationwide, the authorities launched the National Emergency Animal
Health 110 farms in the
state.According
to statements by the Secretary of Health of Jalisco, Antonio Muñoz 2.5 million
birds have been culled since to contain the spread. Meanwhile,
federal authorities of the Ministry of Agriculture and the National Health
Service, Food Safety and Food Quality (SENASICA) met yesterday with producers in
the region today and is expected to disclose more information...
