GENEVA (Reuters) - The epidemic of Ebola has killed 4,951 people in the 13,567 infected in eight countries, reported Friday the World Health Organization (WHO), slightly revised downward its figures largely due to "discard some suspects in Guinea "cases.

The number reflects an increase of 31 people since the UN agency reported its latest figures on Wednesday, while the total number of cases fell to 136.

The 83 contacts from a health worker in Spain infected with Ebola have completed 21 days of incubation of the virus, but a second period of 21 days must be fulfilled before the country can be declared free of the disease, he said WHO.
