Baghdad, Feb.7 (BNA) - A flu epidemic gripping Iraq has infected around 500 people and killed 11, Iraq's Minister of Health Majid Hamad Amin Jamil revealed. "The infected cases are declining constantly and the treatment supplies are available," he stressed during a press conference.
"Iraq is the only country that did not gloss on the epidemic flu subject compared to the infected cases in various countries of the world, especially in the Middle East and northern Africa," he stated, noting: "The Parliamentary Committee offered many suggestions to the Ministry such as keeping an operations plan 24/7 by informing the Committee with the daily situation and emphasis on vaccinating of prisoners, victims of floods and Syrian refugees," the statement added. http://www.bna.bh/portal/en/news/545305
