DRC: Ebola kills 7 people in Eastern Province

The epidemic of Ebola virus was declared the Democratic Republic of Congo. The Minister of Public Health, Felix Kabange Numbi said that this Friday, August 17 twelve cases including seven deaths were recorded in Eastern Province. It invites the public to observe measures of individual and collective hygiene, indicating that to date there is no drug or vaccine to fight against this epidemic that has resurfaced in Uganda at the beginning of July.
Felix Kabange request all Congolese to avoid touching any animal found dead in the forest or eating meat.
"We must also avoid touching unprotected blood, vomit or urine of a patient who died or who suffers from a viral hemorrhagic fever," he adds.
The Minister assured that "soon these preventive measures will be applied, the faster the spread of disease will be stopped."..
